Some fellowships for Young Scientists will be offered by FEMS. All grant applications will be evaluated and ranked by the Organising Committee on the basis of the candidate's scientific curriculum and country of origin. Awardees will be notified before the beginning of the meeting. The deadline for applying is 13 February 2017.
For more information, please visit the "Grants" page.
On Wednesday afternoon (17 May), a guided tour followed by dinner will take place.
At 15:00, participants will meet the guides outside the conference venue (Chamber of Commerce) and leave by bus towards Trani to visit the old town and the cathedral.
Afterwards, the group will be taken to the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site Castel del Monte, to visit the octagonal shaped Castle built by the Swabian Emperor Frederick II.
The group will then head towards a local “Masseria” (a kind of typical farm) to enjoy nature, local products, and the landscape. A traditional dinner will be served, allowing the group to explore Apulian cuisine in its many flavours and colours.
The group will be taken back to Bari by bus after dinner.
